About Our Library
Library „Vuk Karadzic“ is a public library intended for population of Prijepolje municipality and has a status of an educational institution which is completely financied by the municipality budget. As the oldest institution in the town it marked its 100th anniversary in 2005. Within the library there is a branch library „Steva Tomovic“ in Brodarevo and Mobile informative and communicative centre Info Bus( MICC Infobus). Infobus covers the needs of suburban and rural population. For its achievements the library was rewarded with the “Milorad Panic” reward by Association of libraries over Serbia. The library contains 77 338 books, DVD/ CD ROM with collection of 850 units and is currently receiving 35 of serial publications. In 2006 there were 4087 members and in 2007 the number grew up for 35%. The library is equipped with 14 computers, 2 photocopiers, 4 printers, 2 laptops and OHP.
